Shrimp Soufflé

Ingredients

  • 8-10 slices bread
  • 2 c shrimp or crab (canned or fresh)
  • 1 1/2 c chopped celery
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 1 med onion, chopped
  • 3 c milk
  • 3/4 c mayonnaise
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 c grated cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Put bread in bottom of greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Beat eggs until thick & yellow in color. Add all ingredients except soup. Let sit overnite or several hours in the
refrigerator, so the bread will absorb the liquid. Cook 15 minutes @ 325°.
Take out and spread the soup over the top. Add the cheddar cheese and bake for an additional hour.
