Spicy Sausage Cream Cheese Puffs

Ingredients

• 1 package Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage
• 1 cup chopped sweet yellow onions
• 1/4 cup finely chopped jalapeno peppers
• Salt and black pepper to taste
• 3 ounces Quality soft cream cheese
• 2 tubes refrigerated crescent rolls

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven 375 degrees

Brown the sausage in a dry skillet over a low to medium flame

When the sausage starts to brown, add chopped onions and jalapenos

Stir fry until sausage is thoroughly browned and onions become translucent

Season with salt and black pepper to taste

Drain excess juice; transfer sausage filling to a bowl

Add cream cheese to the warm filling and mix well

Separate crescent rolls into triangles and place 1 tablespoon of filling on
wide edge of triangle

Roll wide edge of dough towards the "point" of the triangle, enveloping the
filling

Fold edges of dough over so that filling is completely enclosed with dough

Cook 11-13 minutes or until golden brown
