Orange Cream Dream Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2-4 drops orange food coloring
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp orange extract

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 Prepare baking pans with cupcake liners. In a large bowl, whisk first 3 ingredients. In a small bowl, combine next 3 ingredients; set aside. In separate large bowl, using a mixer (medium speed) beat butter until smooth. Slowly add sugar, beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Add extract, mixing well. Add flour mixture alternating with buttermilk mixture. Mix until well combined. Pour into baking cups to 3/4 full. Bake 30-40 min.
