Shrimp pasta with lemon and Italian seasoning

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. linguine or other pasta
  • 3/4 lb. peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1-1/2 tsp Italian seasoning mix
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan and Romano cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter and add Italian seasoning. Let it sit in a saute pan for a while to get the flavours into the butter.

Put pasta on to boil. When there are 3 minutes left, turn the heat on to high underneath the butter and seasoning mix. After one minute, add the shrimp and cook on high heat, maybe 3 minutes.

Meanwhile, drain the pasta and return to the pot. Add the lemon juice and toss. Then add the shrimp and toss. Finally add the cheese and toss.

Serve immediately with parsley or cilantro as garnish.
