Ingredients
- Bread:
- 3 c. flour
- 1 1/2 t. salt
- 1 1/2 t. soda
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. buttermilk (or milk with 3 T. apple cider vinegar, let sit for 10 minutes)
- 1 1/2 t. vanilla
- 1 1/2 t. almond extract
- 1 c. oil
- 1/2 c. softened butter
- 3 eggs
- 5 bananas
- 1/2 c. desired chopped nuts
- Glaze:
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- 1/2 t. vanilla
- 1/2 t. almond extract
- 2 t. melted butter
Preparation
Step 1
Bread: Mix all ingredients above in mix master for 2-3 minutes. Pour into 2 greased bread tins. Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean. DO NOT OVERBAKE! As soon as tester comes out clean, remove bread from oven. Let stand for few minutes. Poke holes with fork; then spread glaze on top and let soak into holes.
Glaze: Mix all together and put over top of warm break
