Ingredients
- Potatoes
- one onion
- 4 Tbsp bacon grease
- 2 Tbsp flour
- small amount of Milk
- Carrots if desired
- Salt to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Peel potatoes and cut into cubes. Fill a pot as full as you want. Peel and dice and onion and add to the pan of potatoes. Add carrots if desired. Cover with water. Add some salt. While potatoes cook, put bacon grease and flour in a skillet. Stir til it thickens and browns. (Add flour sparingly as you go.) Take off heat and add milk to a thickness of gravy. Do not dump water off potatoes. Stir gravy in. If not thick enough, make more gravy.
