casserole - Spaghetti and Beef Mince Pasta Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 small zucchini, grated
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 350 g beef mince
  • 1 x 550 g jar pasta sauce
  • 375 g spaghetti
  • 2 cups bechamel sauce
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat oil in a large frying pan and saute onion, zucchini and carrot until onion is soft.
2. Add mince and cook until browned.
3. Add pasta sauce and simmer for approximately 15­20 minutes.
4. While the sauce is cooking, boil the spaghetti.
5. Combine the spaghetti and sauce and place in a casserole dish.
6. Pour over the bechamel sauce, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and bake for about 30
minutes, until browned on top.
