Lemony, Spiced Chicken Kebabs

Chicken kebabs soak up flavors of lemon, garlic and spices before being cooked quickly on the grill in this dish inspired by Middle Eastern cooking.

Ingredients
- 6 Cloves garlic, mashed into paste
- (or 6 cubes frozen crushed garlic)
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 3 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 2 teaspoon dried mint or oregano leaves
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (per serving)
Preparation
Step 1
Special equipment; metal skewers
Combine garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, cumin, coriander and dried oregano in a bowl.
Add chicken, tossing so that all pieces are coated in the marinade
Cover and refrigerate 2-10 hours.
Heat grill to medium-high
Put chicken pieces on skewers and cook about 10 minutes total, until chicken has a nice light char on the outside and is cooked through. Serve with Greek yogurt on the side for dipping.
