Olive & Cheese Appetizer

This is very good but after mixing up everything but the cheese I split it in 1/2 then add mozzarella in one bowl then shredded cheddar into the other before spreading and broiling it. Makes a nice color contrast and appears that you have two appetizers instead of one.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup KRAFT Real Mayo Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) KRAFT Finely Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 medium tomatoes, seeded, chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 1 can (4-1/4 oz.) chopped pitted black olives, drained
  • 2 loaves French bread (about 24 inches each)

Preparation

Step 1

PREHEAT broiler to high. Mix mayo and garlic powder in small bowl. Stir in cheese, tomato and olives.

CUT each bread loaf diagonally into 24 slices; place on baking sheet. Spread evenly with cheese mixture.

BROIL, 4 to 6 inches from heat, 2 min. or until cheese is melted. Serve warm.
