Fried Green Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 Large Green Tomatoes 1/2" Sliced
  • Salt
  • 1/4 C Flour
  • 1 Egg Beaten
  • 1 C Panko Crumbs
  • Black Pepper
  • 1/2 C EVOO
  • 1/2 Stick Butter

Preparation

Step 1

Place Slices in Large Colander, Toss with Salt, Allow to sit 20 Minutes.

Pat Dry.

Three Dredging Pans: Flour-Egg-Panko. Dredge Slices, Season with Salt & Pepper.

Large Skillet with Butter & EVOO, Medium/High Heat. Cook Each Side 3-5 Minutes Until Golden Brown.

Drain on Brown Paper Bag.

Serve Hot with Favorite Sauce.
