Fresh Corn and Cheese bread pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 3 lg eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp ground pepper
  • 1 (12 oz) french bread loaf, cut into 1 in cubes (8 cups)
  • 4 cups fresh corn kernels
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Whisk first five ingredients into a large bowl; add bread, tossing to coat. Let stand 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Stir cheese and corn into bread mixture; spoon into a well buttered13 x 9 baking dish. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until set and golden brown.
