Ingredients
- 1 1/2 fresh mushrooms, if small, slice in half, large ones; don't slice too thin because they shrink, wash well.
- 2-3 T. bacon fat
- 1 med. green pepper, chopped
- 2 med. onions, diced
- 1 t. garlic powder (sprinkle 3x's around)
- salt, pepper
- 1/2 t. accent
- 1 t. Hungarian paprika
Preparation
Step 1
Combine bacon fat, green pepper and onions in a saute pan. Saute until soft.
Add the garlic powder, salt pepper, accent and Hungarian paprika. Simmer. If flat add more garlic powder.
Stir in mushrooms. Keep stirring. High heat. As it starts giving out juice, lower flame. When cooked down, juice of mushrooms should level out. Add about 3 dashes of catsup. Simmer for 45 minutes stirring occasionally.
