Black Beans and Rice

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 4 oz extra lean cooked ham cut into tiny pieces
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 - 15 oz can black beans, undrained
  • 1 cup instant long grain white rice

Preparation

Step 1

Bring all ingredients except rice to a full boil in a 4 1/2 qt saucepan over medium high heat.

Stir in rice. Cover.

Remove from heat. Let sit 5 minutes.

Serve hot.
