Ingredients
- 4 c. water
- 1 c. corn meal
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
Step 1
In a covered saucepan, heat the water and salt until they come to a boil. Turn the heat off and add the corn meal gradually. Stir constantly until the corn meal and the water are thoroughly mixed. Cook for 20 minutes on the stored heat. May be used as porridge (we used lots of butter) or poured into a loaf pan, cooled and then fried.
