  • 1 1/2 CUPS CONFECTIONERS SUGAR

Preparation

Step 1

CREAM BUTTER AND BROWN SUGAR TIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY -
BEAT IN MOLASSES AND EGG -COMBINE FLOUR,GINGER,CINNAMON,BAKING SODA AND SALT -
ADD TO CREAM MIXTURE - MIX WELL -COVER - REFERGERATE FOR 3 HOURS -

SHAPE IN 1 INCH BALLS ROLL IN SUGAR -PLACE ON UNGREASED BAKING SHEET - FLATTEN TO 1/2 INCH THICK WITH A GLASS DIPPED IN SUGAR - BAKE 350 F FOR 8 - 10 MINS. COOL 2 MINS BEFORE REMOVING FROM PAN -PLACE ON WIRE RACKS TO COOL -

MAKE FILLING - SPREAD ON HALF OF THE COOKIES AND TOP WITH THE OTHER HALF -
BEAT BUTTER,MARSHMELLOW CREAM TIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY - GRADUALLY BEAT IN CONF. SUGAR AND EXTRACT.
