Penne Pasta Bake

Ingredients

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 8oz can Italian tomato sauce
  • 14.5oz can diced tomatoes (Italian Herbs)
  • 6 oz tomato paste with garlic
  • 4 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Cook pasta and drain. Cook beef and onion in large skillet over medium to high heat, about 5 minutes. Drain fat. Stir in sauce, paste, undrained tomatoes and 1/2 cup water. Cook 10 minutes. Layer half pasta, half sauce and half the cheese in 9x13 baking dish; repeat. Cover and bake 20 minutes at 350.
