Garlic Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 4 c. fresh or frozen green beans (2”pieces)
  • 1/2 ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 ½ tsp salt or seasoned salt
  • Black pepper
  • 2 c. chicken broth
  • Squeeze of fresh lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

In large saucepan, heat oil. Add garlic and beans, and sauté over high heat to scar beans, stirring frequently so they do not burn. Add thyme, salt, and pepper to taste. Add broth. Bring to a boil. Cover tightly, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 20-30 minutes or until beans are tender. Add more water if necessary. Add squeeze of lemon juice and toss well.
