Giger soy cornish hens

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 T. low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp. fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 small cornish hens, cut in half
  • 8 thin orange slices

Preparation

Step 1

1) mix soy sauce and ginger in small bowl

2) place hens in shallow non aluminum baking dish. pour mixture over hens; cover with plastic wrap

3) marinate in fridge for a minimum of 2 hours

*4) remove hens from marinade; put marinade aside. place hens in casserole dish. roast uncovered; baste occasionally with remaining marinade for 35-45 minutes

5) top with orange slices before serving


* these can also be done on the grill
