Berry or Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups fruit
  • 1/2 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

cream shortening and sugar
blend dry ingredients and stir into sugar/shortening mixture alternately with milk.

Pour into greased oblong pan and top with fruit and sprinkle with some sugar.

If I use canned peaches I pour juice over

Bake in 375 degree oven 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
