Ingredients
- 3 cups rhubarb, cut up into small pieces
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Preparation
Step 1
arrange rhubarb in oblong pan and cover with 1 cup sugar and dot with bits of butter
cream shortening and other cup of sugar, add egg and beat.
combine dry ingredients and add alternately with milk to sugar/shortening mixture.
bake 50 to 60 minutes in 350 degree oven
