- 2 qt cold water
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 1 stalk celery, sliced
- 1 peeled onion, sliced
- 2 sprigs parsley
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 peppercorns
- turkey
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
