Ingredients
- ¼ lb. butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 ½ cups Rice Krispies
- ½ lb dates (chopped fine)
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
- 1-2 drops vanilla
- Coconut
Preparation
Step 1
Combine sugar, butter, egg and dates in saucepan. Boil over medium heat until thick – about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally while cooking. Remove from heat, add nuts, vanilla and rice krispies. Mix well and drop by spoonfuls into coconut. Shape into small balls and cool on cookie sheet. Makes about 60 or more.
