Roasted Asparagus

This excellent technique of roasting the asparagus seals in all of its delicious flavor.

Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh asparagus
- Grated Parmesan Cheese, Finely Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, OR any cheese of your choice
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Trim the asparagus by snapping off the tough ends of each stalk. Place foil on a baking sheet. Lay the asparagus stalks in a single layer on the foil. Drizzle olive oil over the stalks and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 5 minutes for crisp-tender asparagus OR bake for 8 minutes for softer asparagus. Remove the asparagus from the oven and sprinkle with cheese. Serve immediately.
