Ingredients
- 4 6 oz. skin on salmon fillets
- 2 Tablespoons grape seed oil (was advised not to substitute)
- 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, cracked
- 2 sprigs Thyme
Preparation
Step 1
Heat a cast iron pan to medium high. Add the oil and place salmon in the pan skin side down.
Cook 1 minute and reduce heat to medium.
Add the butter, thyme and garlic & begin to spoon the hot butter/oil over the flesh side of the salmon.
Don't turn salmon over.
Cook and continue basting for 3 to 5 minutes or to desired doneness.
