Leeks Au Gratin

Sauce was to thick. Had to add more milk, cheddar and parm.

Ingredients

  • 10 Med. Leeks
  • 6 Tbls. Flour
  • 1 1/2 C. Milk
  • 1/2 C. White Cheddar
  • 1/4 C. Grated Parm.
  • 1/4 tea. Cayenne Pepper
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Butter
  • Garlic

Preparation

Step 1

1. Pre-heat oven to 450

2. Cut leeks. Heat 4 Tbls. butter in skillet, add 4 coves garlic. Cook leeks. Spoon into a 1 1/2 - 2 qt. dish or 10 in. round quiche dish.

3. Melt 2 Tbls. butter in skillet. Wisk in flour. Add milk. Cook until thick and bubbly. Wisk to make smooth.

4. Wisk in Cheddar, Parm and Cayenne. Season with Salt and Pepper.

5. Pour over leeks. Sprinkle with Cheddar. Bake uncovered 10 min. or until brown and bubbly.
