Ingredients
- 3 T. Butter
- 1 1/2 c. Long-grain rice
- 1 Onion, diced
- 3 c. Chicken broth
- 1T. Rosemary, crushed
- 1 t. dried Sage
- 1 t. Salt
- 4 Pork chops
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Lightly grease a 13x9 baking dish. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add rice and onion; cook, stirring frequently, 5 minutes, or until rice is browned and onion is tender. In a medium saucepan, combine broth, rosemary,sage, and salt; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir in rice mixture; cover, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 350. Sprinkle pork chops with seasoning. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chops, 2 minutes per side, or until browned. Place in prepared baking dish. Pour rice mixture over chops; cover tightly with foil, and bake for 45 minutes.
