Ingredients
- 6 qts of popped corn or 4 bags
- 2 sticks of butter
- 2 cups of brown sugar packed
- 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
Preparation
Step 1
1. In a pan melt the butter, add sugar, syrup, and salt.
2. Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
3. Add the baking soda and vanilla and pour immediately over popcorn.
4. Spray baking pan with PAM to prevent sticking. Also spray spatula before stirring.
5. Bake the caramel popcorn at 250 F for 1 hour.
6. Remove popcorn and stir every 15 minutes (4 times).
