Fresh Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds tomatoes, about 3, peeled, seeded and chopped (3 cups)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh-ground black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

In a large frying pan, heat the oil over moderately high heat. Add the tomatoes, garlic and salt. Cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Add the pepper.
