Pumpkin upside down cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cake mix according to package directions and pour into greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Beat together the pumpkin, sugar, sweetened condensed milk, eggs and spice. Pour evenly over cake batter. Bake at 350º for about 40 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes and invert onto serving dish. Let cool thoroughly. Cut into squares. Top with whipped topping, if desired. Serves 12 to 16
