Ingredients
- 1/2 pound Ground beef
- 1 medium Onion ; chopped
- 2 cans (8 oz) Tomato sauce
- 1 cup Water
- 1/4 teaspoon Chili powder
- 1 package (12) Taco Shells ; crushed coarsely
- 1 cup Sour cream
- 1 cup Monterey jack cheese ; shredded
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Coat a 1- 1/2 Quart casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce water, and chili powder;mix well. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 2 to 3 minutes, or until thickened.
Spread on-third of the beef mixture in casserole dish then top with one-third of the crushed tortilla chips, one-third of the sour cream and one-third of the cheese. Repeat layers two more times, ending with cheese.
Bake 25 to 30 miutes, or until bubbly and top is sgolden.
