Chocolate Cherry Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
  • 1 t. almond extract
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Frosting
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 5 T. butter
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 1 c. chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch baking pan.

Combine cake mix, pie filling, extract, and eggs. Stir until mixed. Bake at 350 deg. for 25-35 min.

Frosting
Put sugar, butter and milk in saucepan. Bring to boil. Stir constantly, boil 2 min. Remove from heat. Stir in choc. chips. Stir until mixture is smooth and the gloss disappears. Pour over cake.
