Pork Chops a l'Orange

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 pork chops
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp clover honey
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp grated orange peel
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Working in batches, sear chops on both sides.

Combine orange juice, honey, salt, brown sugar and orange peel in Crockpot slow cooker. Add chops, turning to coat. Cover; cook on low 6 to 8 hours.

Transfer chops to warm plate. Pour cooking liquid into small heavy saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat until liquid begins to boil. Meanwhile, whisk cornstarch and water in small bowl until smooth. Add to saucepan; stir well. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes or until thickened. Spoon sauce over chops; serve immediately.
