Fresh Baked Asparagus 1pt

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. fresh asparagus, in season
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons butter

Preparation

Step 1

Rinse asparagus and trim off rough ends. Place spears in one or two layers in a baking pan. sprinkle with salt and pepper, dot with butter. Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 450 degrees. The asparagus will be crunch and not lose color.

* Choose pencil-thin asparagus
if possible.
