Popcorn Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 8 cups popped corn

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar, corn syrup, water and butter in saucepan until well blended. Place over low heat, stirring gently until mixture boils. Put candy thermometer and continue boiling without stirring until 270C is reached or very hard ball almost to crack stage.
Remove from heat and add salt and vanilla. Pour syrup over pop corn, stiring rapidly with 2 forks to cover.
Moisten hands with cold water and press into shaped
