Strawberry Pretzel Dessert

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups pretzels, crushed, not too fine
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup butter, melted
• 1 8-ounce pkg. cream cheese
• 1 container Cool Whip
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 2 three ounce boxes strawberry jello
• 2 cups boiling water
• 2 ten ounce pkgs. frozen strawberries

Preparation

Step 1

Combine crushed pretzels, 1/2 cup sugar, and melted butter. Spread in 9 x 13 dish and bake at 350 for 6 minutes; cool. Cream 8 ounces cream cheese and blend in Cool Whip and remaining 1/2 cup sugar. Spread over baked mixture. Dissolve jello in boiling water and add frozen strawberries; mix well. When partially set, pour over cheese mixture and refrigerate overnight.
