Deep Dish Cherry-Peach Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 C. Flour
  • 1 1/4 C. Oats (Quick or Old Fashioned) divided
  • 1/2 C. Sugar
  • 1/2 t. Baking Powder
  • 3/4 C. (1 1/4 sticks) Oleo Margarine, divided
  • 2 T. Cold Water
  • 1 20 oz. can Cherry Pie Filling
  • 1 16 oz. can sliced Peaches in Juice, drained

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Combine Flour, 1 C. Oats, Sugar, and Baking Powder; cut in 1/2 C. Margarine until, crumbly. Remove 1 C. mixture and combine with 1/4 cup Oats. Cut in another 1/4 C. Margarine until crumbly; set aside. This will be the topping for the Pie.

2. Mix Water and remaining Oat mixture with fork just until moistened; press on to bottom and 1 1/2 inch up the sides of a 9 inch Deep Dish Pie Plate. Bake 15 minutes. Cool slightly.

3. Combine Pie Filling with drained Peaches; spread into crust. Top with reserved topping mixture. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
