Hearty Tuna Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 cans tuna
  • 3 cups egg noodles
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/2 - 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 1/2 cup mayonaise
  • 1/2 tsp thyme leaves
  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 small zuchinni, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 1 med tomato, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Boil noodles, till ala-dente.
Drain.
Combine tuna,celery,onion,sour cream,mustard,mayo,thyme, and salt.
Add noodles to mixture.
Layer 1/2 noodle mixture in buttered 9x13 dish.
Top with 1/2 of sliced zuchinni.
Layer rest of noodle mixture, and top with the rest of the zuchinni.
Top with shredded cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 min., or until bubbly.
Remove from oven and add chopped tomato.
Serve and enjoy with bread, and or salad.
