Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups peaches, skinned and sliced into 1/2" wedges
- 3 - 4 Tbl. sugar (amount depends on the sweetness of the fruit)
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 cup finely ground almonds
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350*F. Arrange the peach slices in a 9" deep-dish pie pan. Combine the 3-4 Tbl. sugar, cinnamon, and ground almonds in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle this mixture over the peaches. Beat together the 1 cup sugar, flour, butter, egg, and almond extract until fluffy. Spread this batter over the peaches, covering fruit completely. Bake for 45 minutes. Serve hot, warm, or room temperature - whatever your preference.
