Cinnamon Glazed Apples

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 2 2/3 c water
  • 1 c red hots
  • 6 med apples

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sugar, water, red hots in large saucepan. Stir til dissolved.
Peel, core, and quarter apples and add to syrup.
Simmer gently til transparent, about 1 1/2hrs.
Remove apples,then all 3/4c sugar to syrup, bring to boil for 5 min.
Cool slightly. Pour thickened syrup over apples, turning apples to glaze. Cool and serve.
