Ingredients
- 1 large head red cabbage, shredded
- 1 T. lard or butter
- 2 tsp. salt
- 8 whole cloves
- 1/2 c. white vinegar
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 med. yellow apples (peeled, cored and diced)
Preparation
Step 1
Put vinegar and lard or butter in large pan. Add all other ingredients and bring to a boil. Turn to simmer for 1 1/2-2 hours. Best if made the night before.
