Kale & Onion Quiche

Ingredients

  • 1 pie shell, 9" slightly prebaked
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 ff half and half
  • 3/4 milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 T EVOO
  • 1 T butter
  • 5 green onions minced
  • 3 garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 cups chopped kale
  • 1/2 cup grated chedder cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Whisk eggs, half and half, milk, salt, and peppers. In a skillet over med high heat, cook oil, butter, onions and garlic till softened. Stir in kale till wilted.
Spoon into crust, sprinkle with cheese, pour egg mixture over all.
Bake 30-40 mins @ 425 or till set.
