Cheddar Tomato Frech Toast

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tablespoons of grainy mustard
  • 4 oz. thinly sliced cheddar
  • 2 plum tomatoes, sliced
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

Preparation

Step 1

Spread 1/2 tablespoon of mustard on each interior side of the bread slices. Arrange cheese and tomato slices on sandwich.

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Add sandwiches to the mixture, flipping to coat either side of the sandwich.

Melt butter in a large skillet and add sandwiches. Cook until golden brown and cheese is melted. Reduce heat is the bread is browning too quickly.
