WILTED LETTUCE OR FRESH SPINACH SALAD

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon, cut up
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 bunches leaf lettuce, shredded (about 4 cups) or fresh spinach
  • 1/3 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Fry bacon until crisp in 10-inch skillet. Stir in vinegar; heat until hot.

Remove skillet from heat; add lettuce and onions. Sprinkle with sugar, salt and pepper; toss 1 to 2 minutes until lettuce is wilted.
