Step 1
In a large saucepan combine 14 1/2 oz chicken broth, normal size pkg frozen whole kernel corn, 4 1/2 oz can diced green chili peppers (drained) and 1/2 tsp chili powder. Bring to a boil and reduce heat an dsimmer for five minutes. Meanwhile gradually whisk in 2 c milk into 3 tbsp of flour. Then stir milk mixture into hot mixture and heat over medium heat until it is bubble and slightly thickened. Then cook and stir one more minute. Then add 1 c shredded American cheese (4 oz). Can garnish with parsley. TRIED ON 06/08/10 AND I LOVED IT. NO ONE ELSE LIKED IT. IT HAD A DEFINITE SPANISH FLAIR.
