QUICK RAISIN BREAD

Ingredients

  • 2 cups seedless raisins
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cups boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Boil raisins in water for 5 minutes. Cool. Cream margarine, sugar and eggs well Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and stir in alternately with raisin mixture. Bake in 2 greased loaf pans at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
