CHERRY ALMOND SHORTBREAD

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sifted all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup sliced green & red cherries
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, add sugar gradually. Add cherries and almonds and then flour. Shape into long rolls, wrap in foil and chill in fridge overnight. Slice to desired thickness, about 1/8 inch Bake at 325 degrees Farenheit for 10 to 20 minutes. These brown very fast.
