TERIYAKI BEEF KABOBS

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (or 2 cloves, minced)
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak, 1 inch thick

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first 8 ingredients in deep bowl. Stir well.

Cut steak into 1 inch cubes. Add to mixture in bowl. Stir so all pieces are coated with sauce. Marinate for 1 hour at room temperature. Thread on skewers (presoak wooden skewers 30 minutes).

Cook on medium-hot gill for a total time of about 14 minutes for medium. Baste often with sauce.
