Ingredients
- 1 pound salmon
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon honey
- Lemon for garnish
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven broiler. Heavily salt and pepper the skin side of the salmon.
Brown the butter in a saucepan over a low heat until it turns a caramel color and has a nutty aroma. Add the honey.
Heat a skillet on the stove top over medium-high heat. Place the salmon in the skillet with the skin facing down and sear for 3 to 5 minutes. Pour the honey and butter mixture over the salmon.
Turn off the heat and drizzle bourbon over the top of the fish. Put the skillet into the oven (or transfer to a broiling pan) and broil for 5 to 8 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through. Garnish with lemon.
