Ingredients
- 1/2 pkg Pepppridge Farm puff pastry sheets (1 sheet)
- 1 eggs, beaten
- 1 T water
- 2 T sugar
- ? T flour
- 1/4 t cinnamon
- 2 large Granny Smith apples (3 cups)
- 2 T raisins
Preparation
Step 1
Thaw pastry sheet at room temp for 20 min. Preheat oven to 375.
Mix egg and water and set aside. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon. Add apples, raisins and toss to coat and set aside.
Unfold pastry on lightly floured surface. Roll onto 16x12 in rectangle. With short side facing you, spoon apple mixture on bottom half of pastry to within 1 inch of edges.
Starting at short side, roll up like a jelly roll. Place seam side down on baking sheet. Tuck end under to seal. Brush with egg mixture.
Cut several 2 in long slits 2 inches apart on top.
Bake 35 min or until golden. Cool on baking sheet on wire rack about 30 min before serving.
Slice and serve warm. Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar if desired.
