Ingredients

  • 1 pound dried Pinto beans ( 2 cups) sorted and rinsed
  • 1 large onions chopped (1-1/2) cups
  • 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 6-1/2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

Step 1

mix all ingredients in slow cooker
cover and cook on high heat setting 7-9 hours or until beans are tender
